Virtual assets may lose their value in full or in part, and are subject to extreme volatility. You can lose all the money you put in. You have no financial protection for crypto losses, such as a compensation scheme or an ombudsman.
We don't give financial advice
Everything we publish is general information and education. It doesn't consider your goals, finances or needs. We are not licensed to give financial advice, or to deal in virtual assets or financial products. We don't recommend buying, selling or holding anything.
The main risks
- Price. Crypto prices can fall fast, and to zero.
- Liquidity. You may not be able to sell when you want, or at the price you expect.
- Transfers. Some transfers can't be reversed. Mistakes can be permanent.
- Privacy. Many transactions are recorded on public ledgers.
- Fraud and hacks. Crypto is a target for scams, manipulation and theft. You may have no legal protection.
- Platforms. Exchanges can fail, freeze withdrawals, or be unregulated where you live.
- Regulation. Laws change. A product may be restricted where you live.
- Tax. Crypto can have tax consequences. Get advice where you live.
Leverage, derivatives and copy trading
Futures, perpetuals and other leveraged products can wipe out your deposit in minutes. With leverage, a small price move causes a large loss. Copy trading repeats another trader's positions in your account, with the same leverage and the same losses, and with delays and fees that can make your results worse than theirs. Most people who trade leveraged products lose money.
Forecasts and predictions
Price forecasts are model estimates based on past data and assumptions. They are not promises, and they are often wrong. Past performance is not a reliable guide to the future.
AI answers
AI output can be wrong or out of date, even when it cites a source. Check dates and sources. It is not a recommendation.
Portfolios, traders' results and our interests
- Kyren's portfolio and portfolio reviews show what one person holds or thinks. They are not a plan for you.
- Kyren and people connected to him may buy or sell the assets we discuss, including before or after we publish.
- What you see may be out of date.
- Traders' results (for example, on the Copy Trade page) are the past results of specific accounts. They may not include every fee or every loss, and they don't predict future results.
- Traders we show may be connected to us.
- We may earn fees when you follow them through our links.
- Our commissions. We earn commissions from some partners, including crypto exchanges. See /legal/affiliate.
Rewards and offers
Rewards linked to trading encourage you to trade more. Trading more means more fees and more risk. Never trade just to earn a reward.
Where you live
Some products and exchanges are not allowed where you live. You are responsible for checking before you use them. Our exchange offers are not available to residents of the countries listed in our Terms of Service, section 10.
